Working and living in Asian cities: that's how you can!
Smart working and freedom between metropolis and Asian nature

Antonio Di Pietro, 32, from Pescara, tells his story. “I am a programmer and I work full remote moving between Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, the Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam and Japan. Today I'm in Okinawa then Nagasaki, Osaka, Mount Fuji and Tokyo.” To make brokerage everything possible, the advice of Odda, a company among the “Stars of the South” of Il Sole 24 Ore.
“As a child, but not even as a boy, I would never have imagined being able to work and travel together. Since September, however, I have been living in Asia moving between cities and countries without ever stopping carrying on my work as a programmer”. We can say, in short, that Odda Make the dreams of talented people come true. Antonio Di Pietro is a 32-year-old young man from Pescara: after high school he wanted to be a pizza chef but that attraction for technology and computers led him, instead, to the world of information technology. He quickly entered the sector but aimed at something more. This is where Odda, a company that values talent, intercepts with a hub of more than 200 professionals that communicates with about 50 partner, corporate and international companies. Summarizing an IT consulting firm that operates in full remote, creating connections that can, seriously, change lives.
Citizens of the World
“I had heard about Odda from a friend and I was curious,” says Di Pietro. “I approached them and I found a reality that was able to perfectly identify my specific skills as a programmer by inserting me into an international level project. For the first time for me with a totally remote mode while maintaining teamwork management.” And that's where Antonio's passion for the world came to fruition with the opportunity to work from anywhere. They call them, with a modern neologism, 'digital nomads' but they are, in reality, real citizens of the world. “I left in September 2024 and have already crossed Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and China. Even though I had to take a vacation in China because, at a technological level, everything is blocked abroad for government reasons.” For this interview he answers us from Okinawa. “I'm going to stay here for one more week then I will move to Nagasaki, then again Osaka and Tokyo with an intermediate stop in a smaller place at the foot of Mount Fuji”. And what about Italy? “In June.”
Objective organization
Work, therefore, becomes part of an individual's freedom without yielding in terms of quality. ”Odda brings talent to projects and rightly demands maximum professionalism. We are flexible because the organization is goal-oriented. Which must be absolutely and strictly guaranteed.” Which also alleviates another significant problem, especially in Asia: the time zone. “There are team activities where I adapt but most of the work I can organize individually.” The only constraint, if we want, is the connection to the network. “Well, sure. The presence of Wi-Fi is the first essential requirement that I look for in any type of housing solution when I move from one city to another.”
Odda and the revenue boom
Odda, therefore, is a player who can really change individual professional paths but also the culture of work. This is also why it has been included in the “Stars of the South” ranking of Il Sole 24 Ore and Statista: a ranking that brings together the 200 companies of the South who have achieved the best performance in terms of revenue growth, their employees and tangible and intangible assets between 2020 and 2023. We operate - explains the CEO of Odda Stefano Coccia - in full-remote mode, demonstrating to national and international realities that talent exists and can be anywhere. We have a hub of more than 200 IT professionals offering IT consulting, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, AI and UX/UI Design services. We collaborate with more than 50 partner, corporate and international companies. The growth was extraordinary and sales rose from 132,000 in 2021 to 1.3 million euros in 2024, an increase of +756% with an average annual growth rate of +121.72%.”
About ODDA
